3/32" compatible chain

Chain tool

4mm hex wrench

5mm hex wrench


1 Using a 5mm hex wrench, attach the Problem Solvers Two-Pulley Chain Tensioner to the rear derailleur hanger (figure 1). Torque to 6 Nm (50–55 in-lbf)

2 Install the chain by threading it through both pulleys: around the front of the upper pulley and around the back of the lower pulley (figure 2). Remove links as necessary and install the master link and/or chain pin per the chain manufacturer’s instructions.

3 To fine tune your chain-line, use a 4mm hex wrench to loosen the bolt on the sliding arm (figure 3), slide the pulley assembly until it’s in the desired position (figure 4), and tighten the bolt back down to 5 Nm (44–45 in-lbf)

• Damage due to improper assembly or follow-up maintenance or lack of skill, competence or experience of the end user

• Products that have been modified, neglected, used in competition or for commercial purposes, misused or abused, involved in accidents or anything other than normal use • Damage or deterioration to the surface finish, aesthetics or appearance of the product

• Normal wear and tear

• Labor required to remove and/or refit and re-adjust the product within the bicycle assembly To the extent not prohibited by law, these warranties are exclusive and there are no other express or implied warranties or conditions including warranties or conditions of merchant ability and fitness for a particular purpose.
